Navix Mission:

Building healthcare partnerships dedicated to developing clinically excellent heart and vascular programs that help practitioners detect and diagnose cardiovascular disease.

September, 12, 2011 (NEW YORK, NY) - Navix and UltraLinq Healthcare Solutions announce new partnership to improve patient care. As a result of the partnership Navix will be able to extend the UltraLinq image & reporting system to anyone using Navix for cardiovascular lab management services.

"Navix's commitment to the diagnostic programs they service and their patients is a perfect fit with our commitment to continue to facilitate and improve patient care through providing an efficient way for medical exams to be managed." said CEO of UltraLinq Stephen Farber.

"The Ultralinq image and report management solution is a great fit for our cardiovascular practice clients, enabling them to more easily review, sign-off and distribute reports to their referring physicians," commented Cheryl Ford, President & CEO of Navix.

July 25, 2011 (HYANNIS, MA) - Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC) has recently announced the expansion of its partnership with Navix to sponsor stroke and vascular screening events In the Upper Cape Area. Falmouth Hospital will offer Navix' stroke and vascular screening programs at community locations throughout Upper Cape Cod including Bourne, Falmouth, Mashpee and Sandwich.

Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA, a CCHC Hospital, has been sponsoring Navix stroke and vascular screening events in Hyannis, Brewster, and Harwich locations. "Expanding Navix' stroke & vascular screening program to communities served by Falmouth Hospital was an easy decision," said Keith Ritchie, VP of Physician Recruiting for CCHC. "This program has been extremely successful in helping us reach at-risk individuals who have been screened and identified to have some type of vascular disease without the presence of symptoms."

Since July 2010, together CCH and Navix, together, have screened more than 500 individuals. "I registered for a screening because my brother was screened and found to have vascular disease without any symptoms," said a Cape Cod woman. "Cape Cod Hospital saved his life!"

A seemingly healthy man in his 70s attended a CCHC-sponsored stroke and vascular screening event last year. Despite having no symptoms, he was found to have a life threatening Aortic Abdominal Aneurysm. He was surgically treated shortly afterwards and is recovering very well.

An estimated 20 to 30 million American are at risk for various vascular diseases, including stroke, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), carotid artery disease and aortic aneurysms. According to the Society for Vascular Surgery & American College of Cardiology, stroke remains the third leading cause of death in the U.S, and 4 out of 5 people have no apparent symptoms or warning prior to a stroke. Thousands die each year from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. At least 95% of these can be successfully treated if detected prior to rupture. And, estimates are as high as 1/3 of older Americans have some form of peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

Navix' stroke & vascular screening program partnership with CCH furthers its mission to create healthcare partnerships dedicated to cardiovascular program expansion through clinical excellence and the early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. This program was developed to encourage individuals with certain risk factors to be screened for vascular disease. Stroke and vascular screenings specifically target individuals who are 50 years old or over, have smoked during their life, have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or are diabetic as well as those with a family history of cardiovascular disease.

March 9, 2011 (BOSTON, MA) - Navix announces further expansion of its Vascular Early Detection Initiative with Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA and Pennsylvania Vascular Associates in Philadelphia, PA. Tufts has scheduled its first of several stroke and vascular screening events with Navix, to be co-branded with Tuft's affiliate, Quincy Medical Center.

Navix' stroke and vascular screening program has resulted in greater than 50% of screening participants identified with previously undiagnosed vascular disease. More than 10% required a complete diagnostic evaluation while several participants were identified with life threatening conditions such as a large abdominal aortic aneurysm or severe carotid stenosis. In these severe-finding cases, the individuals were successfully treated with surgery or other life-saving intervention.

February 17, 2011 (TORONTO, CA) - Navix has provided key clinical development expertise to The Medipattern Corporation ("Medipattern") (TSX-V: MKI), a pioneer in the development of medical imaging software solutions that help medical practitioners to better understand lesions and critical anatomy. Medipattern has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its Visualize:Vascular product. Visualize:Vascular is designed to quantify image data; segmenting and measuring regions of interest in vessels. Visualize can help a physician assess vascular disease using ultrasound imaging readily available in most cardiology, vascular radiology and vascular surgery practices today. The product is now available for sale in the United States. First shipments are anticipated in the second quarter of this calendar year.

"Visualize:Vascular allows me to see the structure of the open space in the artery, the residual lumen, which is available for blood flow to the brain. This can be seen in both two and three dimensions which enable us to pinpoint the exact area of critical narrowing in the blood vessel. The beauty of this technology is that it is totally non invasive and can serve as an adjunct to standard duplex ultrasound. Traditionally, we use Doppler to measure the velocities of blood flow in the vessel. From this data we estimate the degree of narrowing to determine if there is significant disease. Visualize affords us the ability to measure the lumen directly.

Clinically this is a tremendous asset for us and will ultimately lead to improved patient care," commented Francis J. Porreca, MD, FACS, RPVI, Director of Vascular Surgery, Weiler Division of Montefiore, The University Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. "We have had the opportunity to work with Medipattern over the past few years as they developed Visualize. We have an ongoing data base that we are using to track ultrasound and visualize images with the use of Visualize. I believe Visualize has the potential to revolutionize the way we look at ultrasound which will have a positive impact on patient management. We look forward to clinical use where we can document the value of this new and exciting technology."

"Visualize:Vascular brings a whole new look and feel to vascular ultrasound: color 3D reconstruction of specific regions of interest in vessels. Vascular ultrasound is one of the largest and higher growth market segments for ultrasound imaging today. NAVIX specializes in vascular laboratory services. We work closely with vascular labs to increase use of quality standards and protocols," commented Robert Kane, Senior Vice President of Clinical Services, Navix Diagnostix, Inc. "We saw that Medipattern's technology had the power to let us see inside vessels in an ultrasound setting. We became quite enthusiastic about the potential and joined Medipattern in collecting data for them to develop Visualize. Medipattern's imaging algorithm expertise; diligence and dedication have enabled them to bring this product to market. The preliminary response from the physicians that we regularly work with is very enthusiastic and we are committed to seeing this product roll out through our NAVIX sites and expect it to be received well by all vascular labs, cardiology, radiology and surgical practices performing vascular ultrasound."

"Visualize:Vascular is based on the Cadenza algorithm platform. To create Visualize, we have both expanded our platform by leveraging it from breast imaging to vascular imaging; and simplified our platform from computer aided detection (CAD) as we do in breast imaging to 3D reconstruction of segmented regions of interest. This allows us to focus on visualization which enables our customers to get a better mental picture of the subject and from this make a detailed analysis," commented Jeff Collins, President and CEO of The Medipattern Corporation. "We wish to thank all of our data collection partners. Their belief in us and direction has been inspirational to us. Visualize:Vascular will be deployed through our data collection sites in a limited roll out followed by sales to key partners and then released for general sales. First shipments are expected next quarter."
