An estimated 20 to 30 million Americans are at risk for vascular disease. Three out of every four stroke victims had no symptoms or warning signs. In these cases, early detection can lead to life-saving results.
Navix partners with hospitals and physicians to offer risk-focused screenings for stroke and vascular disease in their communities. Our stroke and vascular screening program is one of the only ICAVL accredited programs in the United States. Navix, dedicated to clinical excellence and providing services that lead to the early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, is the ideal partner to offer these life-saving screenings.
Our stroke and vascular screenings are simple, painless 30-minute exams which consist of:
- Ankle-brachial index (ABI)
- Carotid ultrasound
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) ultrasound
Anyone 50 years or older with two or more risk factors listed below, OR age 65 with one or more risk factors, may benefit from this 30 minute painless and non-invasive screening.
- Current or previous smoker
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Diabetes
- Heart disease
- Family history of: Stroke, peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm, or heart disease
