Vascular Testing Services for Your Patients

Extracranial cerebrovascular (93880)

Assesses blood flow in the carotid and vertebral arteries. It helps detect narrowing or blockages that may increase stroke risk.
Compares blood pressure in the arms and ankles to assess arterial blood flow. It helps detect peripheral artery disease (PAD) and circulatory issues in the legs.

Stress ABI – ABI with provocative stress manuevers (93923)

Measures blood flow in the legs before and after exercise or other stress maneuvers. It helps identify peripheral artery disease (PAD) that may not appear at rest.

Renal artery duplex, complete or focused (93975/-76)

Evaluates blood flow in the renal arteries. It helps detect narrowing, blockages, or other abnormalities that may affect kidney function or cause hypertension.

Aortoiliac/vena cava duplex, complete or focused (93978/-79)

Assesses blood flow in the abdominal aorta, iliac arteries, and/or inferior vena cava. It helps detect aneurysms, blockages, or thrombosis.

Upper extremity arterial duplex, complete (93930)

Assesses blood flow and detect narrowing or blockages in the arteries of the arms. It provides detailed imaging and Doppler analysis.ease stroke risk.

Upper extremity arterial duplex, focused (93931)

Evaluates specific segments of the arm arteries using ultrasound. It helps assess known issues or monitor changes in a targeted area.

Lower extremity arterial duplex complete (93925)

Evaluates blood flow and detects blockages or narrowing in the arteries of both legs. It combines B-mode imaging and Doppler analysis for a detailed assessment.

Splanchnic/mesenteric arterial duplex, complete or focused (93975/-76)

Assesses blood flow in abdominal arteries supplying the intestines. It helps detect narrowing or blockages linked to chronic mesenteric ischemia.

Dialysis mapping, bilateral or unilateral (93985/-86)

Evaluates arteries and veins in the arm(s) for suitability as dialysis access. It helps plan fistula or graft placement by assessing vessel size and flow.

Lower extremity venous duplex, complete bilateral (93970)

Evaluates vein function and detects blood clots or reflux in both legs. It includes imaging and Doppler analysis of deep and superficial veins.

Lower extremity venous duplex, unilateral (93971)

Assesses vein function and detects clots or reflux in one leg. It includes both imaging and Doppler evaluation.

Lower extremity arterial duplex, focused post-intervention follow-up (93926)

Evaluates blood flow in treated vessels after an intervention. It helps monitor for restenosis, graft patency, or other post-procedure changes.

Hepatoportal duplex, complete or focused (93975/-76)

Evaluates blood flow in the liver’s portal and hepatic veins and arteries. It helps detect conditions like portal hypertension, thrombosis, or liver vascular abnormalities.

Dialysis access duplex evaluation (93990)

Evaluates an existing fistula or graft using ultrasound to assess blood flow and detect stenosis, thrombosis, or other complications affecting dialysis performance.
