What We’re Looking for
We are currently seeking an exceptional Clinical Exercise Physiologist for our job opportunity near the Dallas & Fort Worth, Texas area.
Our Clinical Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for performing cardiopulmonary metabolic exercise testing (CPET) at various primary care physician offices and will become an integral part of the physician’s team by providing important diagnostic information that is critical to patient care. They will work with state-of-the-art equipment and be responsible for transporting, setting up, and maintaining the equipment and supplies.
To perform this job successfully, you must meet the following requirements to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field from an accredited university or college (Master’s preferred).
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Demonstration of past clinical stress testing and pulmonary function testing experience within a healthcare provider or university setting under physician supervision.
- Knowledge of oxygen consumption (VO2) as a cardiac/circulatory measure.
- Ability to read and interpret 12-lead ECGs.
- Knowledge of the benefits of gas exchange and Anaerobic Threshold (AT).
- Knowledge of appropriate indications for exercise testing.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Demonstration of computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Access & Power Point, etc.) and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
